How to survive a self-inflicted terminal diagnosis:
*Increase your drug dosage without consultation
(if they won't act; I will...)
*Go over and over what you stand to lose
(and the pain you will inevitably cause)
*Try to see good days as a reward for continuing;
not an acute reminder of your daily pain
*Plan activities with good friends in the weeks to come
*Keep adding to the list of mundane things to do before you go
“But a mermaid has no tears, and therefore she suffers so much more.” —Hans Christian Andersen
